In a significant milestone for regional infrastructure, Capital Transactions has received full approval from the Gympie Regional Council for a new highway service centre at 2035 Bruce Highway in Curra. The approval, issued on 20 November 2025, greenlights the 5ha development site for the delivery of a modern service station and truck stop alongside four food and drink outlets.
This project, designed to enhance traveller convenience along the Bruce Highway, responds directly to the evolving needs brought about by the highway’s recent realignment, promising high-quality roadside facilities that prioritize safety and efficiency for motorists.
The approval underscores the project’s alignment with community and environmental standards, with the council noting its role in managing driver fatigue, supporting road safety, and making optimal use of existing infrastructure.
Capital Transactions is excited to move forward, with plans to deliver a self-sufficient facility featuring on-site water and effluent management, while adhering to stringent conditions for sustainability and risk mitigation. This development not only boosts regional connectivity but also positions Curra as a key stop for northbound and southbound travellers, contributing positively to the Gympie region’s growth.
