The already well-known building had significantly benefited from the creation of new roads and parklands as part of the Queensland Government’s Urban Renewal of the Northshore Hamilton Priority Development Area (PDA). The buildings’ massive 88 metre frontage is now highly visible to over 60,000 cars per day travelling along Kingsford Smith Drive.
Northshore Hamilton is the Queensland Government’s largest waterfront urban renewal project. Formerly the site of Brisbane’s wharves, the relocation of this infrastructure to its new home at the Port of Brisbane resulted in the unique opportunity to transform a once heavy industrialised area into a vibrant residential, commercial and tourism destination. Spread over 304 hectares, the master planned community will ultimately be home to 15,000 residents, a workplace for 10,000 people and an entertainment and waterfront destination for thousands of visitors every week.

The transformation of the former Samie's Seafood building into this outstanding childcare centre is testimony to the vision of our architects, BSPN. We consider this renovation to be urban renewal at its best.
Construction began November 2020 and completed in November 2021.
